Jee advanced strategy 2021

Source :quora

I hope you did well in JEE Mains and aiming to do great in JEE Advanced as well.

If you can work with a proper strategy for the Next two month you can easily get a good rank in JEE Advanced as well.

Few important suggestions/strategy for JEE Advanced.

Strategy 1 - if you scored 250+ in JEE Mains(I’m assuming you are confident about the theory up to JEE Advanced)

  1. Daily you have to do the time-bounded practice of 3hours and after every 3–4 days you need to do time-bounded practice of 6 hours.
  2. Re-attempt of important questions(star mark questions) of all the JEE Advanced test which you gave during your last 1–2 years of preparation.
  3. DO solve the selective important/star mark questions from your study material and PYQ’s.
  4. Proper revision of self-made notes.
  5. Do not focus upon any new material in the last 2 months.

Strategy 2 - if you scored 250+ in JEE Mains(But you are not confident about the theory part up to JEE Advanced in some topics).

  1. All the above-mentioned points will remain the same.
  2. Clear your theory part with the help of your teachers. Use any good reference book(only for selective sub- Topics) and Do solve at least 10–15 JEE Advanced Level Solved Examples(This will help you to clear your concepts up to an advanced level and help you to develop the right approach for tackling questions in exams).

Strategy 3 - if you scored Decent marks in JEE Mains(you are decently confident about your JEE Advanced preparation).

  1. List down your strong, moderate level and weak topics(Strongly focus on your strong areas and on topics where your concepts are decent up to advanced level).

The objective is to grab your strong areas tightly.

  1. Focus more on revising your notes more thoroughly.
  2. In the First month follow a 6hour practice pattern at least twice a week Just like the actual examination. The remaining days keep a 3hour practice time slot every day.
  3. More focus on solving star mark and important question of material and test series(at least 2 times) which you solved in the last two year of your preparation.
  4. Do a proper analysis of each n every mock test( Work on the types of mistakes you did, again solve the incorrect questions, analyse them properly).
  5. Give the highest priority to solve all the previous year questions.
  6. If your strong part is chemistry and then do frequent revision for organic/inorganic this will help to cover the entire chemistry paper in minimum time with maximum score.
  7. Do not invest more time on any particular question as you have limited time only. If you get doubt clarify with your teacher and friends, understand the concept, note it down for further revision.

Lastly, Be confident and work hard. You have limited time in your hand, utilise it properly and execute the plan in the right direction.
